The video production team of Evan and Hilary Williams at PureADK.com has captured the fun atmosphere at 2016’s eleventh annual ididaride! bike tour.
They take you along the challenging seventy-five–mile route that begins at the North Creek Ski Bowl, heads south to Speculator, west and north to Indian Lake, and then back east down the big hill to North Creek. They introduce you to some of the people behind the scenes and show the scenery that makes this ride so special.
The pair use video to share the kinds of adventures you can find only in the Adirondacks. They were happy to donate their time and considerable talents to ADK. Filming began first thing in the morning as riders signed in and continued nonstop throughout the day, capturing riders and volunteers until the last person was back in the late afternoon.
Says Evan, “When coming up with the idea for the video, I thought it would be great to highlight the route, [show] people having a great time, and include some narrative from volunteers and riders to tell the story of the event. By following the cyclists for the day, I was able to capture the visuals and audio and then bring it all together in the form of a short video to highlight the annual bike tour through the central Adirondacks.”
