LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The Adirondack Mountain Club’s (ADK) High Peaks Information Center (HPIC) has been closed since October 24th for renovations.  Due to construction delays the HPIC will now be closed until early February.  ADK’s staff and volunteers have been working hard to complete these renovations so that we can better serve you on your way to a High Peaks adventure.

Parking in the HPIC parking lots will still be available and not affected by these renovations.  The flush toilets and shower facilities at the HPIC will not be available during this time period.

ADK HPIC staff will be operating 8am-4pm daily out of a heated tent adjacent to the HPIC at a limited capacity.  Micro-spike and snowshoe rentals will still be available along with information and some retail merchandise.  Port-a-John bathroom facilities will be available.

Thank you for your patience.  ADK is excited for the completion of these HPIC renovations.

The Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is dedicated to the conservation, preservation, and responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve and other parks, wild lands, and waters vital to its members and chapters.
