It is no surprise that ADK’s signature events are muscle-powered, featuring amazing opportunities to enjoy the Adirondack scenery while supporting ADK’s efforts to protect New York State’s wild lands and waters.

The 11th Annual ididaride! Adirondack bike tour will be held on Sunday, July 31st this year.  The classic 75-mile loop departs from the Ski Bowl Park Pavilion in North Creek at 8:30am.  Riders travel along the shoulder of paved roads through some of the most beautiful Adirondack scenery and towns including; Bakers Mills, Wells, Speculator, Sabael, Indian Lake, North River and back to North Creek.  For those riders who want a less challenging trek, the 20-mile loop with or without shuttle service is available, departing from Indian Lake at 1pm.  All riders will enjoy great support during the event at four aid stations with snacks, water, SAG wagon support and mobile mechanical support.  Rider packet and t-shirt provided at registration.

ADK is excited to be partnering with Bark Eater Events for the ultimate relay experience, Peak 2 Brew, a 234-mile road relay with an epic start from Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway through the heart of the Adirondack Park to the historic Saranac Brewery in Utica.  The event takes place August 12th and 13th. There will only be one runner from each team on the course at a given time as it is a Team Relay race.  The Peak to Brew Relay was born in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains during a hike with a group of friends. The Peak to Brew Founders, Tim Skjellerup and Jason Croniser, grew up in the Adirondack Park and love the Adirondack Mountains.

“We try to spend as much time as we possibly can camping and hiking in the most beautiful park in America. The Peak to Brew Relay course also goes directly through the heart of the Adirondack Park. For these reasons and more, we are excited to announce our partnership with the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) as one of the organizations we proudly support,” Skjellerup and Croniser said.  To register for ADK’s team, ‘ADK Trail Heads’ click here or donate to the ADK Trail Heads team, https://runsignup.com/Race/21378/Donate?charityId=2623.i-did-a-lot
