Volunteer Trails Program

Trails Program
Dear Fellow Trail Enthusiasts,
Spring has sprung and in a few short months the Adirondack Mountain Club Trails Program will be out cleaning up blowdown or building erosion control measures on trails throughout the state.

The Volunteer Experience with ADK:
Our goal is to provide the participant the opportunity to learn and experience the rewards of giving back to the trails. The participant will join others to complete a quality trail project while also learning proper trail maintenance techniques. The best part is the participant leaves with a great sense of satisfaction knowing that his/her labor will protect the natural resource for years to come.

Our Volunteer Trails Program Schedule has been finalized and we would like to share it with you. Please notice the projects listed are slated for the Adirondack Forest Preserve area. A registration form follows the schedule.
This can be printed out and sent in to: ADK Field Programs, Box 867, Lake Placid, NY 12946. Please do not e-mail the registration form.

We are very excited to be working in the Adirondacks this season. ADK provides the experienced leadership and tools, you provide the willingness to give back to the resource. Participants meet at the designated trailhead before heading out to the project. You must be able to carry your share of gear and tools.

We hope to see you this season and look forward to working on the hiking trails of New York State. Thanks!
