Double Your Dollars! Challenge Update

In November 2006, ADK announced the “Challenge for Wilderness.” This $10,000 challenge would match all new and increased gifts to ADK through December 31 or until the entire challenge pool was “drained.”  Although results are still being tabulated as of this writing in early January, we can report that ADK members met this challenge head-on and not only reached the full challenge goal, but surpassed it by six fold!  

In addition to thanking all of those whose gifts put us “over the top” for this challenge, the executive committee of ADK extends a very special thanks to those generous donors whose gifts established the Challenge.  These donors included: the Glens Falls- Saratoga Chapter, the Adirondak Loj Chapter, the New York Chapter, the North Woods Chapter, the Schenectady Chapter, the Susqhehanna Chapter, Jim and Betty Bird, Stan Hall, Paul Leinwand, Curt Miller, Joe Silberlicht, and Tom and Eileen Wheeler.
