The ADK Conservation Program (aka
Field Programs) promotes land stewardship through the development and maintenance of quality hiking trails in wild lands throughout New York State. The trails built and maintained by ADK are designed to protect natural resources by reducing erosion and by diverting hikers away from environmentally sensitive areas. The Conservation Program encourages responsible use and protection of New York State’s Forest Preserve, parks, and other wild lands and waters.
