Seasonal Outings

Seasonal Outings

The ADK Outings Committee coordinates seasonal outings:

Paddle Outing spans a seven- to 10-day period, usually in July or August. Several trip length options may be available. The day trips focus on a variety of canoe and kayak trips in the beautiful St. Regis canoe area of the Adirondacks.

Fall Outing moves around the Adirondacks and features day trips for hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and climbing peaks and fire towers in Wild Forest and Wilderness areas. This outing, over 50 years old and culminating in a Saturday evening banquet, has become an ADK tradition.

Winter Outing is usually held in the Tug Hill region of Central New York where the highest snowfalls in the state are recorded. The main focus is cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
