How to Get to Heart Lake

FROM THE SOUTH:
Take the Adirondack Northway(I-87) to Exit 30. Turn left on Route 9 (and continue straight on Route 73 at the intersection) toward Keene and Lake Placid for 26.5 miles. Turn left on Adirondack Loj Road (High Peaks trailhead sign), five miles to Loj.

FROM THE NORTH:
Take the Adirondack Northway (I-87) to Exit 34, Keeseville. Follow Route 9N to Jay and the Route 86 to Lake Placid. Turn left on Route 73 before going through (downtown) Lake Placid. In three miles turn right on Adirondack Loj Road (High Peaks trailhead sign), five miles to Loj.

FROM THE WEST:
Take Route 3 or 86 into Saranac Lake. Continue on Route 86 through Lake Placid. At the third traffic light, turn right on Route 73. In three miles turn right on Adirondack Loj Road (High Peaks trailhead sign), five miles to Loj.

How to Get to the Garden Parking Lot for JBL

FROM THE SOUTH:
Take the Adirondack Northway(I-87) to Exit 30. Turn left on Route 9 (and continue straight on Route 73 at the intersection) toward Keene and Lake Placid for about 10 miles to the center of Keene Valley. Look for the Garden Parking and High Peaks trailhead sign on the left at Adirondack St. Turn left onto Adirondack St. and continue on Interbrook Road to the end. The final stretch of the road is a narrow gravel "driveway".

FROM THE NORTH:
Take the Adirondack Northway (I-87) to Exit 31, Elizabethtown. Turn right (west) on 9N, through Elizabethtown toward Keene to Route 73. Turn left onto Route 73 and go about 3 miles to the center of Keene Valley. Look for the Garden Parking and High Peaks trailhead sign on the right at Adirondack St. Turn right onto Adirondack St. and continue on Interbrook Road to the end. FROM THE WEST:
