Conservation and Advocacy

ADK’s conservation and advocacy program grew out of the need for responsible policies to protect the Adirondack and Catskill Forest Preserves and to ensure they remain accessible to the public for appropriate recreation. ADK also advocates for the protection of other natural resources and for state funding for land acquisition and stewardship. The legislative advocacy program is based at our Public Affairs Office, 301 Hamilton St, Albany, NY.
