Wilderness Campground at Heart Lake 
Adirondack Mountain Club's Wilderness Campground is adjacent to the Adirondak Loj, at the base of the Adirondack High Peaks, just south of Lake Placid, NY.
In addition to campsites, you can enjoy the rustic simplicity of an Adirondack lean-to or all the comforts of home in the Wiezel Trails Cabin or the Campground Cabin. Also available are canvas cabins -- cozy, walled tents on wooden platforms -- accommodating six people in three bunk beds with mattresses.

Help Protect Our Forests
from Insect Invaders
State regulation prohibits the import of firewood into New York unless it has been kiln-dried. The regulation also limits the transportation of untreated firewood to less than 50 miles from its source. Transporting untreated firewood spreads diseases from insect invaders that kill trees. Our forests are at risk. Help protect our campgrounds and stop the spread of these pests. (Local firewood is available for sale at ADK's Wilderness Campground.) Click here for more information.
